In memory of Nathan
(1992 - 1997)

Nathan was always a happy husky Nathan was our first Siberian Husky. He was always a very happy husky. We got him when he was 10 months old from some neighbors who were not quite ready for the extra high octane personallity that Siberian Huskies are known for. And Nathan was high energy even for a Siberian. Plus he loved to talk to people. He would sit down at your feet and look up at you and try to talk. This was not a barking sound but much more like a human baby would make talking noises. He also loved to run, even more so in the snow. (The deeper the better.)

These pictures are from some rare moments of rest for Nathan - moments that usually lasted no more than a few seconds, and then he was off again.

A rare moment at rest Nathan loved attention. He would get upset whenever he was not around people. He also loved to play with children.  He also knew his own bed time.  He would talk to you asking to go to bed when it was time. In fact, he would not leave you alone until he was put to bed.

In May of 1997, Nathan suddenly lost his energy and was walking in a lot of pain. The next day the doctor told us that it was sudden and complete kidney failure. Nathan died that night, at the very young age of 4 years, 9 months.

Nathan loved to kiss us: Here he is kissing Theresa We will always have very good memories of Nathan.
